Honda CG Project 2,update (frame mods+tank)pt2
So heres a bit more progress on the frame, more lugs lobbed off and under tray tackes in place, this is where the battery and rectifier will live.rear end looped with a slight upsweep, and tank bracket in place. The tank was pretty bad so we had to cut sections out of the bottom back to the good stuff. That mouse had been really busy!

Honda CG125 Project 2 update (the tank)
saw this tank on american ebay and fell in love,it's a 71 Honda cb100 tank, the same shape as cb125s tanks, just different colours.the description was a bit poor, not explaining how rotten it was.what a bummer!
fortunately thanks to R.N Danny the tank WILL be used!

Honda CG Project 2,update (frame mods+tank)
the cg is now stripped with custom loom made, all shitty redundant lugs cut off, frame chopped for the upswept loop on the back end(currently making).Holes filled with weld and some other things i've forgotten about already
i also purchased a cb160 tank half blind,i didn't realise they had pads, and they're not really my thing,so its not staying.i've just purchased another tank from u.s Ebay.also bought some bars, throttle and leavers.
so here's how she stands

Honda CG125 Project 2
So after looking at cb125's for long enough i decided they were too expensive(on ebay anyway),so like Liam i opted for the cg125,it shares the same frame as the cb125/cb100 anyway.less to go wrong with the ohv engines but the cb engines are probably more tuneable (ohc),never mind they're the same mounts anyway.
Here's the love machine i picked up courtesy of the one and only Danny Bell( domino extraudinare).
The plans are to take all the shit off and go for a minimalistic street tracker type look, new tank, bars, shocks, modify frame, etc
I'm sure danny's cb project will be posten on here before long too......
